Festo Series MS Combination Unit, 40μm Filtration Size, 14 bar Maximum Operating Pressure - MSB4-1/8:C3:J1:D1:A1:F3-WP, Numeric Part Number: 8233012

This combination unit provides regulated, filtered and manually drained compressed-Air supply for industrial pneumatic systems. Designed for moderate corrosion environments, it maintains output Air purity in line with ISO 8573-1:2010 and supports lubricated or non-lubricated operation. The unit incorporates an integrated analogue pressure gauge and is suitable for installation with a mounting bracket in a near-vertical orientation.

Features and Benefits:

• 40μm filtration size protects downstream valves and actuators
• 4 to 12 bar pressure setting range enables precise pressure control
• 450 L/min maximum flow rate supports high-demand pneumatic circuits
• Polycarbonate bowl with plastic guard allows Visual condensate inspection
• Manual rotating drain permits straightforward condensate removal

Applications

• Suitable for feeding pilot valves in pneumatic control panels
• Ideal for compressed-Air supply to actuators and cylinders
• Used with inert gases in test rigs and laboratory set-ups
• Can be used for workshop Air lines requiring manual drainage
• Used for plant areas with ambient temperatures down to -10°C

What connection thread standards does it use?

It uses G thread connections with G1/8 ports for supply and G1/4 for the outlet.

What operating temperature range is supported?

The unit functions across a media and ambient temperature range of -10°C to 60°C.

How does the regulator maintain output pressure?

The controller provides primary pressure compensation and a constant output pressure via an adjustable regulator.

Is the unit suitable for lubricated air?

Lubricated operation is permitted and, if used, becomes required for continued operation.

What construction materials affect corrosion resistance?

The housing is die-cast aluminium and the bowl is Makrolon® polycarbonate, yielding moderate corrosion resistance.
