LAPP UNITRONIC LiYY Series Data Cable, 100m Cable Length, 0.34mm² Cross Sectional Area - 0028402
This unitronic liyy data cable is designed for control and signal transmission in machinery, electronics and measurement systems where occasional flexing and confined routing are required. It features a pebble-grey PVC sheath and fine‑wire bare copper conductors intended for use in dry or damp indoor environments and standard electronic equipment.
Features & Benefits
• Flame-retardant construction for safer installations
• Rated for Peak voltage of 500V supporting signal circuits
• Operating range to +80°C for elevated-temperature fixed use
• Flexibility from 7‑strand conductors for ease of routing
• Low capacitance approx. 120 nF/km reduces signal distortion
• Minimum bending radius 10xOD for occasional flexing applications

What conductor design ensures flexibility without loss of conductivity?
The cores use extra‑fine stranded bare copper MADE from seven wires per conductor, giving pliability while maintaining a solid copper cross‑section of 0.34 mm².
How does the cable perform in low‑temperature fixed installations?
For fixed installation the PVC jacket remains serviceable down to −40°C, allowing use in low‑temperature indoor environments.
What identification system is used for individual cores?
The cores follow a DIN 47100 colour‑coding scheme without repetition to simplify connection and troubleshooting.
How should lengths be ordered and packaged for site delivery?
Standard lengths are supplied on rings up to 30kg or drums for larger quantities
specify preferred packaging such as 1x500 m drum or multiple 100 m rings when ordering.
Note
YY cable is not suitable for fixed wiring applications requiring compliance with the requirements set out in BS7671.
Standards
VDE 0482, VDE 0472, IEC 332.1 and DIN 4700 colour code
