The Gefran Compact Power Controllers with Analog Control, IO Link Communication, and Modbus RTU are designed to manage complex electrical loads, such as infrared lamps and Silicon Carbide heating elements, that do not maintain constant current absorption during operation. These types of loads can draw currents up to 15 times higher than their rated value during startup when cold. To prevent breakdowns or downtime, the GRM controllers continuously monitor the absorption current and use specialized algorithms to limit the inrush current, ensuring the system reaches optimal operating conditions safely and efficiently.
