SICK i200 Series Safety Interlock Switch, IP65, Power-to-Lock Principle - i200-E0323 Lock

This safety interlock switch is a power-operated locking device designed to secure guards and access points in industrial settings. It uses electro-mechanical sensing and requires an external actuator for operation. The unit is intended for individual wiring with diagnostic capability and is suitable where a compact, sealed interlock with positive-action monitoring contacts is needed.

Features and Benefits:

• 2600N locking force provides secure holding under EN ISO 14119
• 3A rated contacts support 240V AC or 24V DC operation
• IP65 enclosure permits use in dust- and water-exposed areas
• Three actuation directions allow flexible mounting orientations
• Power-to-lock design permits controlled retention during operation

Applications

• Suitable for safeguarding machine access panels in factories
• Ideal for cell door locking with safety-logic integration
• Used with safety controls requiring positive-action contacts
• Can be used for conveyor guard locking where sealing is required
• Suitable for environments needing actuator-sensor separation

What electrical supply is required for the solenoid?

The solenoid requires a 20.4V DC to 26.4V DC supply.

How are field connections implemented?

Connections are via three M20 cable glands accepting 0.34mm² to 1.5mm² conductors.

What diagnostic or fault behaviour is expected?

The switch has no internal fault detection, so the connected safety logic must perform fault monitoring.

What are the specified operating temperature limits?

Ambient operation and storage are rated between -20°C and +60°C.

Is an actuator included with delivery?

The actuator is not supplied with the device.
