SICK i10 Series Safety Switch, 1300N Locking Force, Power-to-Release Locking Principle - i10-M0253 Lock

This safety switch is a power-to-release interlock designed to secure access points in industrial environments. It uses electro-mechanical sensing with positive-action contacts to monitor both locking and door status. The unit is suitable for applications requiring sealed protection and defined ambient operating limits, and it is supplied without an actuator.

Features and Benefits:

• IP67 enclosure rating protects equipment from dust and water ingress
• 1300N locking force provides secure retention under load
• 4A switching current supports 230V AC and 24V DC loads
• Power consumption ≤8W reduces control-circuit demand
• Low coding level simplifies actuator matching for Basic systems

Applications

• Suitable for guarding on factory production lines
• Used with safety logic units for monitored interlocks
• Ideal for hygiene-sensitive environments requiring washdown protection
• Can be used for machine access doors with restricted speed
• Used for retrofit safety upgrades on existing guards

What electrical connections does the device require?

It accepts conductors 0.34mm² to 1.5mm² via three M20 cable glands.

How is fault detection achieved in the system?

The unit has no internal fault detection

the connected safety-related logic unit performs diagnostics.

What environmental temperature range can it operate within?

It is rated for operation and storage between -20°C and +55°C.

Which contact configuration is provided for safety monitoring?

The switch offers two positive-action NC contacts for locking monitoring and one NO contact for door monitoring.

What electromagnetic supply is required for the solenoid?

The solenoid operates from 20.4V DC to 26.4V DC.
