I really like to show you 0:15 today our solutions for the wind 0:17 industry. 0:18 Fenix contact is driving a holistic 0:20 approach for the monitoring of wind 0:23 turbines which knowing the state of your 0:26 path at the wind turbine. you know when 0:30 repair is necessary, when a degradation 0:32 of the win turbine is starting and that 0:34 means of course you can plan your 0:37 maintenance, do predictive maintenance 0:39 and avoid unnecessary downtimes and 0:42 repairs or even complete failure of 0:44 those components. 0:46 Before there was for every specific 0:48 system a specific vendor that was used. 0:50 So you had one for load monitoring, you 0:52 had another one for structure health or 0:54 ice detection and the third one maybe 0:55 for lightning monitoring. With the Fenix 0:57 contact technology, everything is put 1:00 into place at the PLC next technology 1:02 for one vendor. With monitoring 1:04 solutions from Fenix Conduct, you can 1:06 monitor the complete wind farm or the 1:08 wind turbine and check all the expensive 1:11 parts inside a wind turbine, avoid 1:13 repairs and unnecessary downtimes. 1:19 As we have these open platform, the PLC 1:22 next technology comes into play. It is 1:24 easier to reuse existing software or add 1:27 applications that are written for 1:28 example also from third parties to 1:30 integrate in our Phoenix contact 1:32 ecosystem and simplify the broader use 1:35 inside wind farms or put this into 1:38 project specific uses. 1:40 For example, you have a wind farm here 1:43 in Germany where it is needed to have 1:44 ice detection. As 0:17 we entered the 20th century, we 0:19 electrified our modern civilization and 0:21 electricity became the main power for 0:23 industries and transformed our daily 0:25 lives. As a fully connected and 0:27 electrified society, we are constantly 0:30 pushing the boundaries of what is 0:32 possible. Hi, my name is Loretta and I'm 0:34 happy to introduce you to Mara from 0:36 Phoenix Contact who will take us on a 0:38 journey through the all electric society 0:40 park. 0:44 Welcome to our all electric society 0:47 park. Here we present our vision of the 0:49 allect electric society which describes 0:51 a world in which renewable energies are 0:54 available in sufficient quantities and 0:56 of course affordable for everyone. The 0:59 goal is to achieve a sustainable CO2 1:01 neutral energy supply while enabling 1:04 economic growth and prosperity 1:06 worldwide. The 7,800 1:09 square meter big park, a bit bigger than 1:12 a traditional soccer field, is powered 1:14 100% by renewable energies. 550 solar 1:19 modules and a so-called wind tree 1:21 generate this green energy. The park's 1:24 energy flows are interconnected by 1:26 something which is called sector 1:27 coupling. And this automated system 1:30 ensures that the energy is always there 1:32 where it is actually needed. 1:37 The transformer station is the heart of 1:39 the electrical energy distribution 1:41 system here in the park. The two 1:43 transformers ensure the right frequency 1:45 and voltage in the park supply network 1:48 and in the battery storage system. The 1:51 transformer station itself is designed 1:53 as sustainable as possible. For example, 1:56 with the use of carbon concrete, we were 1:58 able to reduce the wall thickness and 2:00 hence also reduce the carbon footprint 2:02 of the transformer station. 2:06 The electrification of the heat supply 2:08 is truly revolutionary and one of the 2:11 decisive factors in achieving climate 2:13 targets. 2:15 The so-called cold local heating network 2:18 is the central supply system here in the 2:20 park for heating, cooling, and heat 2:23 recovery. 2:28 Photovoltaic systems can be found here 2:30 in the park all over the place. And 2:32 solar modules are not only installed on 2:34 the two big sun trackers on the roofs 2:37 and at facades but also here in the 2:39 pavement. And the different solar 2:41 systems generate more than 155,000 kwatt 2:45 hours of green energy per year. I would 2:48 say we take a short walk on our 200 2:50 walkable solar panels here in the park. 2:53 And as you see here, solar energy can 2:56 almost be generated everywhere. 3:01 A sustainable world definitely needs 3:03 more than just renewable energies. In 3:06 our water and environment center, we 3:08 show you our automated irrigation system 3:11 with moisture sensors in the flower 3:14 baths and an intelligent automation. 3:16 This ensures a responsible use of all 3:19 valuable resources. 3:23 E-mobility is a decisive factor on our 3:26 way to an all electric society. What 3:29 components are needed in a battery 3:32 storage system to store the surplus of 3:34 energy very efficiently?
