    Tamperproof Screw Driver Bit

    This System Zero® driver bit has a half-inch hexagonal shaft that is compatible with many driver handles and square drive adaptors. System Zero is similar to TORX screws in that is typically used in tamper-resistant or security applications.

    The driver bit is made of chrome vanadium steel, which assures a degree of protection against corrosion, as well as a durable construction that promises a long and reliable tool life.

    Features and Benefits

    • Hexagon shaft section (1/4 in across flats)
    • Specially designed for System Zero tamperproof screws
    • Long-life durable construction

    Applications

    This driver bit provides excellent torque and control on System Zero tamperproof screws. As such, they are ideal for high torque applications and for those who work in areas where extra security is required. As such, they may be useful for;

    • Machine housing
    • Automobiles
    • Public display boxes

    What are the advantages of System Zero screws?

    These unique tamperproof screws have advantages over more common screws and screwdrivers. For a start, they allow a more secure attachment between driver and screw, meaning extra control when applying torque. They also have a shape that acts much like a built-in washer, reducing the chance of damaging panelling while tightening or loosening the fastener.

    The chief advantage of System Zero is that they are not common, and so less likely to be manipulated by common tools. As such, they can't be loosened or tightened by common tools, and so are less likely to be tampered with.

    For instances when panelling or structures need to be secured, but also still accessed for maintenance, these System Zero screws are ideal.

    Tool Care

    Though this nut driver is somewhat resistant to corrosion, proper storage and care will increase the work-life of your tool. Be sure to store in a dry place when not in use, and to wipe the shank down with a light oil after use.
