These RS PRO rack cases are manufactured from steel offering a highly durable enclosure case, with excellent corrosion and heat resistance. The top, bottom and side panels are well ventilated, allowing the internal temperature to be regulated whilst preventing parts from overheating and breaking down. The 3 mm thick front panel is durable but can easily be customised by the user, whilst the inside of the panel accommodates for component, equipment and PCB mounting keeping the front of the enclosure clean and clutter free.

This range of rack mount enclosures offers complete freedom of internal layout regarding the installation of wiring, components and equipment making them highly versatile. The simple design allows for quick and easy assembly, with all required screws and panels included. The enclosures also feature attachable ergonomic handles, making them ideal for racks that require the enclosure to be able to slide in and out safely.

The IP rating refers to the level of protection that is provided, with lower numbers offering minimal protection and higher numbers offering maximum protection. The first digit refers to the level of protection from solids such as dust and debris, whereas the second digit refers to liquid.

This rack mount enclosure offers an IP30 rating offering protection from objects such as tools and wires, with no protection from liquids. Therefore, this enclosure is not suitable for use outdoors.
