As a rack and pinion type that can manage between 3 and 8 bar of operating pressure, it's ideal for use with medium-sized equipment. The unit's tempered steel drive shaft is strong and won't deform during operation. Flexible cushioning rings at both ends stop impact damage to prolong the life of your system. Improve feedback in your setup with an SME-series (121-5824) or SMT-series (250-2714) proximity sensor for improved control of the piston's location in sensitive applications.

How does a double-acting rotary actuator work?

All double-acting pneumatic components work by receiving high-pressure air through a port at each end to push the internal piston from end to end. With rotary actuators, this mechanism produces a rotary motion instead of a backwards-and-forwards one.
