RS PRO Black Glass-Reinforced Plastic GRP Rod, 1 m x 30 mm Diameter

You can make high-quality engineering parts and components with this black nylon rod from RS PRO. It's made of a nylon 66 material that's easy to machine, making it suitable for producing a variety of structures. It also has a high degree of impact strength, and the 30% glass filling improves stiffness for long-lasting performance.

For safety, the rod has a UL HB (Underwriters' Laboratories Horizontal Burning) grade, which means that it will burn very slowly when exposed to flames. It's chemically resistant, has a high melting point and can be safely used at temperatures of up to +110°C, making it ideal for demanding environments and applications. You'll commonly find it used for aircraft gears, wheels and bearings, as well as packaging and food processing equipment.
