Hirose DF17 Series 0.5 mm Board to Board Connectors
DF17 Series 0.5 mm SMT board to board header and socket connectors for creating board to board heights between 4 mm and 8 mm. These DF17 Series 0.5 mm board to board connectors have a robust design that can withstand the shock caused by the impact of dropping. This feature prevents connector breakage ensuring high performance and electrical continuity. This feature makes them especially suitable for use in mobile phones and other hand held devices. The socket connectors have a box style, scoop proof structure which offers increased protection to the contacts and the mating connection. The contacts have a scoop proof bellows type design. Metal fittings either end of these DF17 Series 0.5 mm board to board connectors provide robust PCB retention and protection against mechanical stress. Mounting bosses on the base of the connector provide extra stability on the PCB
