Harting Ethernet Switch, 16 Ports, 100 Mbps Network Speed - 24020160010

This Ethernet switch is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet device designed for Compact industrial installations, expanding network capacity with up to sixteen RJ‑45 connections at 100 Mbps. It is intended for DIN‑rail mounting within control cabinets and for environments where a low‑profile, front‑facing cable entry is required.

Features & Benefits

• Sixteen RJ‑45 ports provide straightforward network expansion
• 10/100 Mbps auto‑negotiation enables mixed‑speed device connectivity
• Energy‑Efficient Ethernet reduces power draw during low activity
• Industrial temperature option supports -40°C to +70°C operation
• Surge and reverse‑polarity protection ensure stable voltage tolerance
• Store‑and‑forward switching prevents packet collisions for reliability

Applications

• Suitable for factory automation networks requiring many ports
• Ideal for machine control cabinets on 35mm DIN‑rail
• Used for transportation and shipbuilding Ethernet segmentation
• Can be used for wind and solar plant communications links
• Suitable for industrial robotics and automation technology networks

What mounting method does it use for cabinet installation?

It clips onto a 35mm DIN‑rail and accepts a pluggable 3‑pole screwed connector for power.

How does it indicate link status and speed?

Integrated LEDs show power, link/activity and link speed with distinct colours and flashing activity.

What supply voltages are acceptable for operation?

The device accepts nominal 24 VDC or 48 VDC with a permissible input range from 9 VDC to 60 VDC.

What environmental tolerances apply during storage?

Storage temperature spans -40°C to +85°C with up to 95% non‑condensing relative humidity.

What mechanical protection and material are used for the enclosure?

The housing is anodised aluminium with an IP30 rating when the power connector is fitted.
