Product Details
Allen Bradley 1492 SP Series Miniature Circuit Breakers – Type D
Safeguard your electrical circuits with the general purpose 1492-SPM Type D Miniature Circuit Breakers by Allen Bradley. These circuit breakers offer high performance and ensure enhanced protection for equipment.
These MCBs have instantaneous breaking time and feature type D tripping. They are available in 1, 2 and 3 pole versions to suit your application. The 1492-SPM miniature circuit breakers are current limiting and can be easily mounted on a DIN rail. These units are also IP20 finger-safe for greater protection, and they have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. These dependable MCBs help to prevent downtime from nuisance tripping as they also have superior shock and vibration resistance. The 1492-SPM series allows installation of up to six accessories on the same circuit breaker so that you can optimise your safety system with ease.
Type D MCBs are usually used for specific industrial and commercial applications with very high inductive loads and where high inrush current frequently occurs, for example with x-ray machines, large winding motors, transformers, and welding equipment. A type D MCB will trip instantly at a rate of ten to twenty-five times its rated current.

Allen Bradley Mini Circuit Breaker, 10kA Breaking Capacity, 5A Current Rating- 1492-SPM1D050
Looking for a reliable solution for safeguarding your electrical appliances and equipment? This 5A (ampere) miniature circuit breaker (MCB) from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range instantly disconnects the power supply when faults like earth leakages or short circuits occur. It's an essential safety device that minimises the risks of fatal shocks and damage to equipment. Install this high-performance MCB to reduce production downtimes caused by electrical problems. You can use this unit with electrical installations in industrial and commercial settings.
What is an MCB?
Type-D tripping for use with very high inductive loads and inrush currents for applications like medical imaging and welding equipment IP20 (ingress protection) rating indicates finger-safety DIN rail mounting allows for quick and easy installations
Standards and Certifications
UL (Underwriters' Laboratories) CSA (Canadian Standards Association) CE (Conformité Européenne) CCC (China Compulsory Certificate) VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik) RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
How does an MCB work?
Continuous overcurrent flowing through an MCB heats the internal bimetallic strip, causing it to bend. This bending releases a mechanical latch that opens electrical contacts and breaks the connection to cut off the power supply.
