Exar offers a wide range of RS232 serial communication standard (also known as TIA/EIA-232) devices. They span over a range of data rates from 20kbps to 1Mbps, including the popular 120kbps and 250kbps speeds.

RS-232 transceivers operate from a single 5V supply, and many can operate with a supply voltage as low as 3V
