Devices in the MAX3483AE family are ±20kV ESD-protected RS-485/422 transceivers, optimized for extended cable runs in noisy environments. All devices operate from a single 3. 3V supply. The MAX3483AE and MAX3485AE are half-duplex transceivers. The MAX3488AE, MAX3490AE, and MAX3491AE are full-duplex transceivers. The MAX3483AE/85AE have a 1-unit load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 32 transceivers on the bus. The MAX3488AE/90AE/91AE have a 1/4-unit load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 128 transceivers on the bus.
