Endress+Hauser FTW33 Series Level Switch, 25 Bar Maximum Pressure, 70°C Maximum Operating Temperature - FTW33-AA4MW5J

This conductive level switch detects liquid presence using an electrical conduction principle and is intended for industrial fluid monitoring. It is constructed for deployment via a threaded connection and is supplied with a 5m cable to connect to control systems. The housing is metal and suited to environments requiring corrosion resistance while operating across a wide ambient temperature range.

Features and Benefits:

• 316L stainless steel housing resists corrosion and prolongs service life
• Rated for 10 bar overpressure up to a maximum of 25 bar for pressurised vessels
• Operates from -40 to 70°C for broad temperature applications
• Low-current switching at 30V DC and 15 mA minimises power draw
• Ethylene propylene diene monomer gasket provides chemical sealing
• Non-hazardous-area design simplifies site classification handling

Applications

• Used for level detection in potable and process water tanks
• Suitable for monitoring liquid levels in pressurised vessels up to 25 bar
• Ideal for integration with control cabinets requiring low-voltage inputs
• Can be used for conductive-liquid detection where stainless steel wetted parts are necessary
• Used with industrial sensors where threaded mounting is preferred

What connection method is required for installation?

It uses a threaded mount to secure into tank ports or flanges, providing a straightforward mechanical attachment for inline or sidewall installation.

How does the sensor handle electrical interfacing?

The unit switches at low DC parameters and is compatible with low-current input circuits, using the supplied 5m cable for signal and power routing.

Is the unit suitable for use in classified hazardous zones?

The instrument is not certified for hazardous-area installation and should only be installed in non-classified locations or within appropriate protective enclosures.

What sealing material contacts process fluids?

The sealing element is made from EPDM, offering resistance to a range of aqueous media and maintaining a pressure-tight seal.
