Belden Alpha Wire High-Temperature Hook-Up Wire, 0.62mm², 600V - Premium Series - 5856 RD005
Use this versatile hook-up wire from Belden's Alpha Wire range for the internal wiring of electronic equipment, motors or panels. Its Teflon insulation makes it suitable for use across a wide range of temperatures from -60°C to +200°C. Teflon is non-flammable, so it reduces the risk of an electrical fire and features outstanding resistance to corrosion for long-lasting use. This user-friendly wire is simple to strip and terminate for quick assembly and installation. Thanks to its silver-plated copper conductors, it offers reliable performance and provides high levels of conductivity and durability.
Features & Benefits
• Red cable colour for quick circuit identification
• Length of 30m can be easily cut for customised wiring
• Bend radius of ten times the cable diameter for easy use in small spaces
Applications
• Residential and commercial lighting
• Off-road construction equipment
• High-temperature ovens
How do you terminate a hook-up wire?
There are several choices when it comes to terminating a hook-up wire. Direct connection is quick and simple to achieve using connector blocks or junction blocks. Choose a solder-type join for a strong mechanical and electrical connection. Crimping offers a good grip on both the conductor and its insulation, while insulation displacement makes a connection without the need to cut your cable.
