RS PRO Stainless Steel Piano-style Hinge, 50 mm x 50 mm x 2 mm
These stainless steel piano-style hinges use the tension of their springs to automatically close doors. They're part of our stringently tested RS PRO series.
These hinges are 2 mm thick and made from grade 304 stainless steel – an exceptionally tough material with good corrosion resistance. The springs are also made from stainless steel. This improves durability and minimises the need for maintenance. As stainless steel has a high yield strength, these compact 50 x 50 mm hinges can bear heavy weights. You'll find four pre-drilled holes of 5.2 mm for easy alignment and mounting.
Concentrations of hazardous substances in these are below 0.1%, so they comply with EU directives. They also meet ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 standards regarding electrostatic discharge. Their self-closing action makes them suitable for security purposes or soundproofed rooms, such as recording studios or private meeting rooms.
