RS PRO OM4 Multi Mode Fibre Optic Cable LC to LC 900μm 10 m


To increase your network’s bandwidth and signal speed, turn to this RS PRO fibre optic cable. This multimode fibre-patch cord has a core fibre size of 50/125 and transmits data using internal light refraction. This transfers larger volumes of data more quickly and with less interference than metal conductor cables. Each end is terminated with LC connectors that will suit 10, 40 and 100 Gbit ethernet networks.

The cable comes with a purple jacket that's low-smoke and zero-halogen (LSZH). It's RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) compliant to meet high chemical and hazardous substance safety standards.

Fibre optic cables such as this one are designed for high-speed networks, including those found in telecommunications businesses, where they support data, video and voice calls. As a multimode cable, it's suited to shorter distances of data transmission – usually under 2 km.
