Cat5e cables are a type of Ethernet cable, running from the internet source, like a router, to the intended target. It had a twister pair build and will excel in both home and workplace environments. The choice of which category cable to use is ultimately down to the user. Cat5e will run applications up to 100 MHz, which would be perfect for most workplaces and server rooms which require a constant internet connection for day to day activities.

The choice of shields are between F/UTP and U/UTP. Both would be suitable for most applications, but as a guide, please see the differences between the two.
