Tesa Duct Tape, 75mm Width, 50m Length - 60462-00003-00

This duct tape is a cloth-backed sealing and repair tape designed for industrial maintenance and installation tasks. It combines a laminated polyethylene fabric with a rubber-based adhesive to provide a tear-resistant, flexible tape suited to demanding environments in automation, electronics, electrical and mechanical work.

Features and Benefits:

• 8N/cm adhesion delivers secure bonding for quick repairs
• 40N/cm tensile strength resists mechanical strain during use
• 16% elongation at break allows controlled stretch for contours
• 0.215mm thickness provides manageable hand-tearability

Applications

• Suitable for temporary insulation of cable bundles in control cabinets
• Ideal for sealing ducts and conduits in HVAC maintenance
• Used for fixing loom assemblies during machine assembly
• Can be used for surface protection during panel fabrication
• Used for patching protective covers on electrical enclosures

What backing material supports abrasion resistance?

The cloth backing is laminated with polyethylene to add surface robustness and moisture resistance while maintaining flexibility.

How does the adhesive behave on different substrates?

The synthetic rubber adhesive offers strong initial tack on metals, plastics and painted surfaces common in industrial settings.

What environmental temperatures can it tolerate during service?

It remains functional up to +60°C and is rated for use above 5°C to ensure adhesion in typical workshop and plant conditions.
