Schneider Electric LV42 Series Auxiliary Contact, 5A Operational Current, 690V Contact Voltage - LV426950

This auxiliary contact provides electrical status signalling for circuit breakers and contactors within industrial electrical systems. It is a clip-on, spring-terminal device offering one normally open and one normally closed contact to monitor open/close and relay trip conditions in low- and medium-voltage assemblies.

Features & Benefits

• 5A operational current for direct control of signal circuits
• 690V rated contact voltage for high-voltage signalling applications
• Minimum load 2mA enables reliable detection of very low currents
• Spring Terminal with 8mm stripping length for quick wiring
• Clip-on mounting for Rapid attachment to compatible breakers
• 1P configuration supplying both NO and NC status outputs

Applications

• Suitable for breaker status monitoring in distribution panels
• used with PowerPact and ComPact range breakers for feedback signals
• Suitable for contactors requiring auxiliary changeover indication
• Used for local open/closed indication and relay trip signalling

What Terminal style is provided for wiring?

It uses spring-type terminals designed for a front connection with an 8mm wire stripping length to ensure secure, tool-minimised terminations.

How does it indicate fault or trip conditions?

The contacts supply ON/OFF status outputs

the NO/NC pair can be wired to local indicators or a trip relay to signal overload or short-circuit events.

What breaking capacities can it handle across AC and DC?

It carries 5A for many AC control categories up to 690V and varying lower ratings for AC-15 and DC control categories, with reduced currents at higher voltages and for DC categories.

Which mounting method allows fast integration into existing switchgear?

The clip-on mounting enables swift fitting onto compatible devices without additional hardware, aiding modular assembly and maintenance.
