TS1109 Bidirectional Current-Sense Amplifier with Buffered Bipolar Output Demo Boards

The Silicon Labs TS1109 is a bidirectional current-sense amplifier with a buffered bipolar output and adjustable bias. The buffered output typically consumes 0.76 μ A up to a maximum of 1.3 μA of supply current. With a maximum input offset voltage of 150 μV and a maximum gain error of 1%, it is optimised for high precision current measurements.
Suggested applications:

- Power Management Systems
- Portable/Battery-Powered Systems
- Smart Chargers
- Battery Monitoring
- Overcurrent and Undercurrent Detection
- Remote Sensing
- Industrial Controls

Current Sensing Amplifiers have a voltage output that is proportional to the volt drop across a very low value resistor, usually in a high-current power rail. Hence they measure the current flowing in that power rail.
