The Power Integrations TOPSwitch-JX series offers a single-package solution to cost-effective off-line AC-DC converter design. The devices integrate a high-voltage power MOSFET and switched current source, multi-mode PWM controller, oscillator and comprehensive protection Plus control circuitry into a Compact monolithic package. The range includes both through-hole and SMT mounted options and power ratings of up to 177W.

• Energy efficient over entire load range; no-load power <100 mW at 265 VAC

• Multi-mode PWM control maximizes efficiency at all loads

• Accurate programmable current limit

• Frequency jittering reduces EMI filter cost

• Fully integrated soft-start for minimum start-up stress

• 725V rated power MOSFET

• Auto-restart limits power delivery to <3% during overload faults

• Output over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection

• Accurate thermal shutdown with large hysteresis
