The unique construction of the Scotch-Brite™ disc is made up of non-woven fibres and aluminium oxide abrasive making it tough and durable. Compared to traditional abrasives that quickly wear down when used, this discs high cut-rate, hardness, strength and low heat retention make aluminium oxide a popular choice.

This disc produces low heat thanks to its 3M precision-shaped grain, which is a triangular-shaped ceramic grain that wears evenly to provide durability and consistency. It allows heat to directly dissipate from a workpiece, which greatly minimises the risk of overheating and helps to produce high-quality parts.

The Roloc™ system from 3M™ provides a secure attachment on heavy duty applications. It allows for Roloc discs to be quickly swapped out from one application to another in seconds.
