FORMULA STUDENT RS BUILD FUND

Meet the 2025/26 winners!

FORMULA STUDENT

Rev up those engines and get ready for one of the biggest student competitions in the world!

As a competition, Formula Student is over 25 years old and one of the most prestigious around. With Universities competing from all over the world, it's a hot bed for talented young engineers who are looking for the ultimate challenge in motorsport!

Teams have to design, build and race a single seat racing car to see who makes the podium - however, the competition is even more than that. Along with the engineering element, the teams have to budget, develop project management skills, present their ideas and adhere to strict guidelines which mean enthusiastic students from a wide range of faculties have to work together to help them realise the overall dream of the team.

Formula Student Build Fund 2026 – Winners Announced

RS is excited to support the next generation of engineers through the Formula Student Build Fund, offering teams around the world the opportunity to enhance their practical engineering skills with £1,000 worth of products from RS (or equivalent in local currency).

We are delighted to announce the winning teams of the Formula Student RS Build Fund 2026.

This year saw the largest response to date, with 137 applications from 33 countries, highlighting the global reach, ambition, and technical excellence of the Formula Student community. The quality of submissions showcased impressive engineering thinking, strong sustainability considerations, and a clear focus on real-world application.

The successful teams will each receive £1,000 (inc. VAT) worth of RS products (or local currency equivalent) to support the design, manufacture, and testing of their Formula Student cars.
