In addition to this, the compression has been improved while the belt is running to reduce pulley wear and provides prolonged life for any auxiliary components

Thanks to the increased friction coefficient, this belt offers low slip, high efficiency and longer service life, along with a fibre loaded raw edge cogged profile design that improves belt wear and slip resistance for protection while in use

This RS PRO cogged belt is suitable for applications where wrapped v-belts are likely to reach their performance limits

Applications:

Cogged belts are a type of belt that have slots that run horizontally to the belts length to increase the flexibility and service life of it. Because they are more flexible than standard belts, they generally run cooler and have a better coefficient of friction which reduces the chance of belt slip, improve the service life of the belt, as well as the auxiliary pulleys that are being run by it, and can often tolerate applications where belt speeds are high.
