This proximity sensor from Festo lets equipment in your system detect metallic objects without making physical contact. Using smart inductive sensor technology, this device is able to detect items within a range of 1.5mm, so there's no risk of damage. You can also connect it to an actuator for use in conveyor and motor speed control, especially in automated process control systems. Is this proximity sensor water-resistant?
Yes, it has IP65 and IP67 (ingress protection) ratings, which means it's resistant to water jets from all directions. It can withstand being submerged in up to a meter of liquid for half an hour.
