Metcal UFT Tweezer Tip Cartridges / Tweezer Soldering Tips.


UFT-tweezer-tip cartridges are the UltraFine tweezer-tip range for the Metcal CV-5200 and CV-500 series soldering systems. The tweezer soldering tips are used for removing small components from PCBs.

All cartridges are available in 2 temperature ranges:

  • 600-series nominally 330 ˚C.

  • 700-series nominally 390 ˚C.

    • The temperature/series is designated by the by the first digit in the numerical part of the part number.

  • 700-series will be UFT-7xxx. Metcal recommends the 700-series for many applications.

  • 600-series for temperature sensitive applications.

    • Can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. The Metcal “SmartHeat®-Technology“ will adjust delivered power during soldering to suit the application.

  • 700 = FR4/Fibre Glass, for most standard applications.

    • Suitable for:


    CV-5200, CV-500, UltraFine-Tweezer CV-H4-UFT, Tweezer-Kit CV-UK4-UFT.
