The Martindale UK mains plug to 110V socket is Intended for use with PAT testers to enable testing of 110V appliances. Please note that due to safety reasons, this adaptor does not have a live connection and will, therefore not be able to perform a polarity test. This can be done using a separate extension lead tester.
