These magnetically actuated non-contact safety switches are specially designed to be installed on guard doors and work by immediately cutting off the power supply to a machine when the safety guard or gate is opened, thereby restricting unsafe access for personnel to a hazardous area. The magnetic actuator is removed from the switch when the door is released, which then opens the NC safety contacts.

They offer reliability and a high tolerance to misalignment due to their large sensing field. These switches are dust-tight and are highly suitable for wet environments as they are sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P). With two active sensing faces, they offer a wider range of mounting options for your convenience. The 440N-G02096 Ferrogard FRS9 magnetic safety switch has 1NC (Normally Closed) safety contact and features a 4-Pin Micro Quick Disconnect connector. The switching capacity is 1A max at 24VDC. It has an ABS plastic rectangular enclosure which is red to ensure clear visibility of the safety switch during an emergency. This Ferrogard model offers highly dependable contact-free interlocking for the machine guard.
