Evaluation Board for ADL5243 RF/IF Digitally Controlled VGA
Analog Devices ADL5243-EVALZ is a fully populated, 4-layer, Rogers 3003-based evaluation board. The ADL5243-EVALZ is an evaluation platform for the ADL5243 device. The ADL5243 is a high performance, digitally controlled variable gain amplifier (VGA) operating from 100MHz to 4000MHz.
The board requires a 5V / 200mA power supply for normal functionality. The ADL5243-EVALZ can be programmed via USB to a PC running Windows XP or Vista with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed. The ADL5243 VGA contains two amplifiers and a 6-bit digital step attenuator (DSA). The DSA and amplifiers can be individually biased to the clip leads as well as connected to the VDD plane. The ADL5243-EVALZ board can be configured with AMP1 driving DSA driving AMP2 using the available resistor and capacitor pads.
