RS PRO Silicone Insulated Parallel Circuit Heating Tape
RS PRO range of parallel circuit heating tape, with a constant wattage output for process temperature maintenance applications. This tape is flexible enough to allow it to be spiralled around a suitable pipe or vessel. The heating tape consists of several short heating zones each connected across a pair of continuous bus-wire conductors.
The main role of heat trace cables is stopping pipework from freezing. When water pipes freeze and burst, this can cause a great deal of damage and expense to homeowners and businesses. Heating cables provide controllable heat which helps pipes from freezing and keep liquids moving.
RS PRO have a great range of trace heating products which can help protect pipes from freezing, by maintaining the right temperature inside the pipe.
Heat tapes are a flexible solution that can be used to heat any surface or body requiring fast and efficient direct-contact heating.
Trace heating options include:
703-3108 - 15W/m, 110 V, 20m cable
703-3101 - 15W/m,110 V, 50m cable
703-3105 - 15W/m, 110 V, 100m cable
256-244 - 15W/m, 240 V, 20m cable
665-7419 - 15W/m, 240 V, 50m cable
665-7413 - 15W/m, 240 V, 100m cable
256-109 - Trace Heating Termination Kit

RS PRO 15W/m Trace Heating Cable Constant Wattage, Parallel Circuit, 240 V, 100 m
Stringently tested as part of our own RS PRO range, this trace heating cable reduces the risk of pipework bursting when standing water freezes and expands. By regulating the internal temperature of pipes, the cable prevents blockages and ruptures caused by ice.
The constant-wattage cable can be site terminated and customized for pipework up to 100 metres in length. The cable supplies controllable heat through a fixed resistance filament to eliminate no-flow conditions of pipes and has an operating range between -60°C and +200°C. It comes in a tough sheath of silicone rubber.
When combined with temperature monitoring devices and thermostats, this cable can be used for internal and external freeze protection. It's commonly used in hazardous industrial environments and can also be found in domestic garages or outbuildings.
