Schmersal Standard Actuator for Use with AZ 15 Safety Switch

This Schmersal electric actuator is designed to be used with the brand's AZ15-series safety switches. When the actuator is inserted into the switch, its safety contacts close and allow a machine start circuit to be enabled. When combined with an interlocking switch, it prevents machinery from operating in unsafe situations and can also keep safety doors closed when automated machinery is at work. This actuator is simple to use and, as it's made from tough materials, can be used in demanding industrial environments.

• ATEX-certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
• IP (ingress protection) rating of 67 means the actuator is unaffected by dust or dirt and can be submerged in up to 1 m of water for at least 30 minutes

Schmersal safety interlock switches are used for safeguarding personnel and machinery by monitoring the position of guards and safety gates. They shut off power, control personnel access and prevent a machine from starting if the guard is open.
