Festo VAVC Seal Cartridge

Pinch valve seal cartridges for Festo’s VZQA series pinch valves. Available in silicone, EPDM and NBR rubber and to fit DN6 and DN15 size pinch valves.

The Festo RESTRICT-FLEX seal cartridge is an individual component of the VZQA which are modularly configurable, whether its connection types, materials or pinch valve sleeves. The sealing cartridge can also be replaced without special tools. Depending on the type of application and operating conditions, this might be necessary only after approximately one million switching cycles. All this together with the simple mounting make VZQA quite economical. This is the first normally closed pinch valve in the market with an integrated actuator. Position sensing via a ring magnet in the piston is now available for the first time in the aluminium variant. Both VZQA versions can be easily cleaned inside and outside. The full bore passage of the pinch valve ensures a high flow rate of the media. Hence, your hygienic process sequences and cleaning cycles are supported to an optimum. The pinch valve may only be used in systems where a damaged or leaking seal cartridge cannot pose a hazard to people or property. The media circuit must be sized for the set operating pressure. The designer and operator of the system are responsible for ensuring the product is suitable for the system as well as for ensuring that the seal cartridge material is resistant to the medium used. Appropriate tests are generally required to assess the suitability. The risks associated with a leaking seal cartridge and the corresponding consequences must be taken into account when planning the system.
