RS PRO Aluminium Square Bar, 40mm W, 40mm H, 1m L

Use this aluminium square bar from the RS PRO range in highly stressed applications such as in the building of bridges, trusses and cranes. Graded 6082-T6, the metal bar is ideal for machining, welding and drilling works.

With a tensile strength of 310 MPa, this metre-long aluminium bar can bear a lot of weight before it bends, warps or breaks, which makes it extremely durable. As it's made of a high-quality aluminium alloy, it's corrosion-resistant and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.

As part of the RS PRO series, the metal bar is thoroughly tested for quality and consistency. A thermal conductivity rating of 180 W/mK means the bar is a suitable choice in transport settings. Packaged and handled in controlled facilities, the bar complies with ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 Electrostatic Control Standards for preventing damage from electrostatic discharge.
