Measuring a capacitor's ESR (equivalent series resistance) is a good indicator of capacitor condition. You can use the Atlas ESR in-circuit, saving you the trouble of removing capacitors. When testing capacitors out-of-circuit, the unit will also display the capacitance. The ESR70 provides instant results when the test button is pressed, a range of tones are produced in feedback of the measurement results.
