Bulgin Circular Connector

The Bulgin Buccaneer series 4-poles male circular flex water resistant connector has a plug-type connection. This connector has a voltage rating of 250VAC/DC and current rating is up to 10A per contact. This front panel mounting connector is ideal for use in challenging conditions. The connector shell is made from glass-filled polyamide with gold-plated copper alloy contacts. The connectors also feature a positive locking mating system that means the connector cannot be mismatched.

The standard series of buccaneer connectors are protected to IP68 when mated. This means they are dust-tight and resistant to particle ingresses such as dust and sand. They are also waterproof, meaning they are protected from liquid ingress up to the point of submersion for a limited time.

There are connector caps available for standard buccaneer connectors, which maintain the IP68 sealing when mated pairs are uncoupled. The cap can also be used as a tool to aid the removal and refitting of inserts during assembly.

How durable is the connector?

The standard buccaneer series of power connectors feature glass filled polyamide moulded housing that is resistant to dust, oil and saltwater.

What are the mating requirements of this connector?
