From RS PRO this is an earth terminal block, made from BS2498 Brass, important to ground and earth cables and wires. The terminal block is essential for electrical safety protecting electrical systems and equipment to the ground helping to prevent electric shocks, reduce the risk of fires creating a reliable low resistance path to the ground.

The RS PRO earth terminal block has an electro tin pate matt finish to BS1872 with 8 double screw-down connection points providing secure cable and wire connection and will connect to wire sizes ranging from 0 to 15 AWG (American Wire Gauge). As the terminal bock is a double screw block you can ensure a secure cable termination.
