It's a metal cylinder and comes with an installation tool, so it's simple to mount over the end of motor or gear shafts with a few taps of your mallet. The sleeve has a high-grade finish with a roughness average between 0.25 and 0.5μm. This gives you a smooth, wear-resistant surface to mount your radial seals (such as 267-3726) and lets you achieve a tight fit when shafts are slightly worn, pitted or damaged.
