Rechargeable batteries are best suited for mid to high drain devices such as digital cameras, wireless mouse/keyboards and games controllers which usually drain alkaline batteries much quicker.

Should Energizer Recharge Extreme batteries be fully discharged before recharging?
No, it is not necessary to fully discharge the batteries before recharging as they do not suffer from so called memory effect.
