These DC motor controllers from our trusted RS PRO range have microprocessors that discretely monitor the load on a motor and adjust the torque accordingly. They're designed for use with permanent-magnet and shunt-wound motors.

You can choose from a range of presets including high or low speed, overcurrent, acceleration or deceleration. The potentiometer input lets you control the speed of the motor more precisely. For safety, a flashing green LED light on the circuit board warns you when the current is tripped, the supply voltage is low or the motor is overheated. If a dangerous temperature rise is detected, the controller's progressive thermal shutdown means it will turn itself off gradually. An input relay turns the motor controller off in case of severe faults, and if there's no activity for more than 15 seconds, it will go into sleep mode.
