TE Connectivity Pistol Grip Tool Kit and Adapter Set
Pistol grip hand tool kit (stock number 301-8177) for assembling AMP Latch type connectors onto round conductor ribbon cable.
The kit comprises of a case, table clamp, pin, adapter holder, head and a pistol grip hand tool. The cam style handle of the pistol grip tool actuates the terminating mechanism inside the head. A ratchet mechanism ensures that the cam handle does not release until it is fully bottomed ensuring a secure connection is achieved. A ratchet pawl is available that can be used to release the handle before it is fully closed.
An adapter for this tool kit is also available (stock number 301-8183) enabling it to be used for use with Micro-MaTch connectors.
Ribbon cables also known as multiplanar cables are typically a thin flat conducting cable that is generally used in electronic systems that require multiple data buses to link internal peripherals.
