Product Details
Olflex Heat 180 SiF
From Lapp, the OLFLEX HEAT is a single core cable with excellent temperature resistance. It features a silicone based insulation that makes it ideal for use in high temperature environments where conventional core insulation will brittle.
The cable has a flexible fine-wire conductor, and is halogen free, ensuring it is suitable for a wide range of applications. It also has resistance to oils, fats and chemical substances.
Features and Benefits
Temperature Resistance
Cold Resistance
Resistance to some oils and chemical substances
Halogen-free according to IEC 60754-1
Corrosiveness of combustion gases according to IEC 60754-2
Flame-retardant according IEC 60332-1-2
Operating Temperature -50 °C to +180 °C (Adequate Ventilation Required)
Minimum bending radius 6 x cable diameter for fixed applications
Applications
The Lapp OLFLEX HEAT 180 SiF cable is highly versatile, but its temperature resistance makes it particularly suited to;
HVAC Systems
Thermal and Heating Elements
Furnace Construction
Generator and Transformer Manufacturing
Lighting Technology
Which wire types are a better choice, stranded or solid?
Both stranded and solid wire have the same resistance properties but stranded wire guarantee an extra flexibility, resistance to bending and are generally easier to install than solid cables.

LAPP High Temperature Wire, -50°C to +180°C Operating Temperature Range, 0.25mm² CSA - ÖLFLEX HEAT Series - 47001
For internal wiring of equipment that's used in hot environments, choose this high temperature wire from LAPP. Thanks to the silicone insulation material, it has a wide operating temperature range between -50°C and +180°C. As well as its heat-protection properties, the sheath is resistant to chemicals and oil, making this a reliable option for use in contaminated settings. Inside, there's one stranded copper core, so you can depend on this cable for reliable conductivity.
• Black sheath colour for easy identification in a busy system
• Widely compatible 24AWG size
• 100m length for a long run or to cut to size

What's the difference between a shielded and an unshielded cable?
Unshielded cables like this one have no secondary screening between the sheath and core, which makes them flexible. Shielded cables have an extra layer of screening to reduce noise and electromagnetic radiation.
