RS Basic 5 Plus EU/UK, NiMH/NiCd Battery Charger
The Basic 5 Plus is a versatile and easy to use charger which can charge the most common sizes of NiMH or NiCd batteries. The charger provides constant charging at the correct level to gently but effectively charge your batteries. This charger does not stop charging cells, so batteries should be removed from the charger once charging is complete.
All Battery Chargers, also known as a recharger, have one thing in common. The charging protocol is the same. The Battery Charger is feeding an electric current through batteries for a specific duration time. Introducing the 9V Battery Charger that is suitable to charge different kinds of rechargeable batteries such as nickel-cadmium (also called "nicad" or NiCd) or nickel-metal hydride (also called "NiMH). The nickel-based battery type is the oldest, whereas the NiMH batteries use the newer technology and look the same as nicads.
