Product Details
RS PRO Telephone Socket 2
Use this telephone socket from RS PRO to provide a clear demarcation between a building network and the customer's wiring. This makes it easy for you to identify any line faults in your network.
This is a category 5e faceplate, meaning it supports Cat5 enhanced Ethernet cables. It can be used as either a master or NTE5 socket in your building. The terminations are easily connected to the wiring using an IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) or punch-down tool. As the terminations are colour-coded in accordance with T568B wiring specifications, the wires are easy to identify.
This is a double phone socket, so you can connect two landline telephones or modems to the telephone network. It's rated at 100 MHz (megahertz) in accordance with EIA/TIA TSB40 (Electronic Industries Alliance/Telecommunications Industry Association) standards specifying transmission performance requirements for UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) connecting cables.
